Working with Men
Many men come to therapy having spent years pushing through — managing stress, staying functional, not letting things show. It works, until it doesn't. Anxiety builds. Relationships strain. Something that used to feel manageable starts feeling like it's running the show.
Therapy for men often looks different than it does in popular culture. It isn't about lying on a couch cataloguing your childhood. It's direct, exploratory work — looking honestly at what's getting in the way and why. I'll be straightforward with you. I'll also listen carefully before I say anything.
I work with men navigating a range of challenges: anxiety and depression that's hard to name, relationship difficulties, a sense of being stuck professionally or personally, and the weight of past experiences that haven't fully been processed. Some come in knowing exactly what they want to work on. Others just know something needs to change.
